01

Residential design built around real constraints

We design new homes, knockdown rebuilds, renovations, rear extensions, second-storey additions and secondary dwellings. Each response begins with the existing property, planning controls, family priorities and a realistic construction pathway.

02

A clear approval strategy before detailed design

We assess whether a DA or CDC pathway may be suitable, identify the drawings and consultant inputs required, and coordinate information for CC, BIC or construction where these form part of the agreed scope.

03

One point of coordination

Surveyors, engineers, BASIX or NatHERS assessors, certifiers and specialist consultants need consistent information. We coordinate the design package and help resolve issues rather than leaving the client to connect every discipline.

04

Practical support beyond approval

Our work can continue into construction documentation, technical clarification, design changes, inspections and final sign-off pathways, depending on the project and agreed engagement.

Choose the right professional

Building designer or architect?

The right consultant depends on the project, required registrations and the services you need. AusJu is led by an Accredited Building Designer and a Registered Design Practitioner for Class 2 work. AusJu does not represent itself as a registered architect. Our practical guide explains the distinction and the questions to ask before appointing a designer.

FAQ

Questions about appointing AusJu

Is AusJu a registered architecture practice?+

No. AusJu is a building design practice. NSW Registered Architect Le Yu (ARB 11536, Practising / Active) works with AusJu, while Chunfu Cai leads the building design and Class 2 services. The responsible practitioner and scope are confirmed for each project.

What should I send for an initial discussion?+

Send the property address or suburb, a short description of the proposed work, any survey or existing plans, and your preferred contact details.

Can AusJu handle a difficult or partly commenced project?+

Yes, subject to an initial review. We regularly help organise existing information, identify approval or documentation gaps, coordinate consultants and set out the next practical steps.

Do you guarantee DA or CDC approval?+

No responsible consultant can guarantee an approval before the site and proposal are assessed. We provide a reasoned pathway, coordinated documents and responsive support while being clear about matters controlled by councils, certifiers and other authorities.
